New Michigan RIC Named

Sean Jacques Appointed Michigan District Referee-in-Chief
(November 1, 2006.)

     Sean Jacques (Calumet, MI) has been appointed as the new Michigan District Referee-in-Chief by USA Hockey.  Sean will replace Roy Finger (Allen Park) who retired on November 1, 2006, after nine years as the District RIC.

Sean has been a registered USA Hockey official since 1981.  He is very familiar with the officiating program in Michigan and has been a supervisor for 13 years.  For the past 11 years he has been the Supervisor of Officials for the Upper Peninsula.  He has also served as a seminar coordinator and instructor, and for the last 10 years has been a member of the USA Hockey National Instructors Staff, having instructed at numerous District Officiating Seminars, 3 Regional Camps, and 1 National Camp.

Away from the rink, Sean is an 8th grade teacher with the Public Schools of Calumet-Laurium-Keweenaw.
