Fresh from the AHAI website....For the past thirty years, USA Hockey in conjunction with the U.S. Olympic Committee, has been conducting Player Development Camps at their facilities in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Lake Placid, New York, Rochester, New York and St. Cloud, Minnesota, as well as other designated United States Olympic training facilities for the purpose of identifying and training the top Midget and Bantam age players nationally whom they feel have the potential to play on future United States National Teams in international competition. The AHAI Player Development/Evaluation Camp is conducted each year in spring for the purpose of selecting the players from Illinois who will attend these various USA Hockey Camps and Select Team Festivals. The Camp is designed so that players can demonstrate their skills in game conditions

We are proud to announce that two LTHC members were named a part of the ISHL All-Conference Academic team for 2008/09.  This honor is bestowed upon ISHL players who achieve a GPA of 3.5 or higher (4.5 Weighted).

LTHC is proud to the be home of two of the 2009 AHAI Chicago Showcase team members!

               Will Berry    &    Andrew Yocius

The purpose of the Showcase is to allow the top 500 high school players from all areas of the country the opportunity to compete against one another and to allow these high school players who are not traditionally scouted the chance to be seen by every major hockey program in the United States including prep, college, junior and professional. Congratulations to all these players on their fine accomplishments.

Our own Steve Silvey was invited to evaluate the Showcase players and participated in the three-day selection process.  Other well-known coaches that participated are Brian Collins & Brian Noonan.  Congrats to Coach Silvey on this impressive honor!

AHAI has published the 2008/09 All-State teams and three of our Senior Varsity players made it! There were a total of seven players selected from ISHL, much more than have been chosen in the past.  This demonstrates the increase in competition level of the ISHL league and LTHC!

These players were voted on by coaches from other teams and were selected by AHAI to participate in the All-State game in February. 

All three played a great game and their team won!  Will did a GREAT job in the net and Tim & Andrew each earned a point with Andrew assisting Tim's goal!  CONGRATS BOYS!  We are so proud of you!

the Wisconsin Dells Tournament!!!  GREAT JOB BOYS!

Congrats to the LTHC Varsity Team on taking 1st Place in the Darien Turkey Tournament!

The team went undefeated through out the tournament with the highlight being a 5-1 win over Hinsdale Central in the Championship game on Sunday!  Many thanks to all who came out and cheered the team on!
