It was gold-medal game eve today in Gangneung, and the U.S. women were back on their ice for their final official practice before tomorrow’s big game.

ON THE ICE
The U.S. held practice today from 1:15-2:30 p.m. in the Gangneung Hockey Centre training rink, which is right behind the venue where the big game will be played tomorrow. The practice was well-attended by members of the media hoping to get some last-minute interviews before the gold-medal game. Among those in attendance were the Associated Press, NBC affiliate stations from Indianapolis, Chicago and Cleveland, TSN and CBC.

SPECIAL GUEST
Before the women headed out for practice, they had a surprise visitor come to their locker room to wish them good luck before tomorrow’s game – daughter of the late Jim Johannson, Ellie. She got a chance to talk with players and then got everyone together for a big group photo.

ONE MORE TIME
The U.S. women’s team officially opened residency in Wesley Chapel, Florida, on Sept. 6 and has been through months of living and training together, traveling across the country for games, and growing closer as a team. This will all culminate tomorrow when the players will hit the ice as a team for its final time in the tournament with the gold medal on the line. Tune in on NBCSN at 1:10 p.m. KST/11:10 p.m. ET (Feb. 21) and follow @USAHockey on Twitter for live updates.
