The U.S. had an up-tempo 45-minute skate this morning in advance of its game here this evening against Italy.

See the U.S. line chart for tonight’s content below and also link for live stats. There is no broadcast available in the U.S., however, the game will be televised live on RAI Sport in Italy.

Lou Vairo, who was the head coach of the professional hockey team Milano Saima from 1990-92, is here for the game tonight. He also was the head coach of the Italian professional team, Fassa, for three seasons. Vairo, who is USA Hockey’s director of special projects, has been an unpaid consultant for the Italian Hockey Federation for the past three years, and was invited here by the federation. Vairo will drop the ceremonial puck prior to the game.

Bob Mancini, who serves as an ADM regional manager for USA Hockey, is also here for the game. Mancini was in Pinzolo, Italy, last weekend helping the Italian Federation educate youth hockey coaches and sharing principles from USA Hockey’s American Development Model.
