The Idaho Amateur Hockey Association was created about 1969 by representatives from Idaho Falls and Sun Valley.Since then Associations have been established in Boise, Salmon, Cour d’Alene.
Moscow and McCall.The IAHA is affiliated with USA Hockey and is the governing authority for all amateur hockey in the State of Idaho.There are currently (2004/2005) 2655 players and coaches on over 165 teams playing hockey in Idaho The players range from age 6 (Mites) to adult.The IAHA has an elected slate of officers and a Board of Directors along with head coaches and referees.
