The Brian Fishman Internship was established in 1999 following the tragic death of Brian Fishman, 28, who served as the Manager of Communications and Marketing for USA Hockey's National Team Development Program.
The internship, which is based in the media and public relations department at USA Hockey's National Office, is awarded annually to an outstanding college graduate who is pursuing a career in athletic media relations.
The full-time position calls for assistance with various media and public relations projects, event promotions and publishing initiatives including work with USA Hockey Magazine.
Brian's parents, Barry and Ruth, and sister, Susan, were integral in establishing the internship, one of the nation's most prestigious to help perpetuate Brian's memory.
