Leafs Teams Celebrate Early Season Tournament Success

The Leafs Pee Wee Major CS team, coached by Butch Treiber, captured its first championship banner of the 08-09 season by winning the MYHockeyRankings.Com Pre-Season Challenge Tournament on September 28.  Great team play and excellent goaltending propelled the Leafs to a perfect 6-0 record during their first tournament of the season.  The Leafs outscored their opponents 30-9 and each of their goaltenders notched a shutout as they beat the Kansas City (Mo.) Stars, Northbrook, Winnetka (twice), Sabres, and the Atlanta (Ga), Fire in the Championship game.  Congratulations Pee Wee CS Major Leafs!

Congratulations also to Coach Chris Barone's Squirt A team, champions of the Great Lakes Tournament Series in Holland, Mich., on September 28.

Finally, congratulations to coach Rob Marshall and his Squirt B team (below) on their second place finish in the Chicago Preseason Challenge on September 28.
