Try Hockey for Free
The Statewide Amateur Hockey of Florida joined with OneGoal, USA Hockey, Florida Panthers, Tampa Bay Lightning and Florida Everblades to create an opportunity on March 6, 2010, for families to come to a local rink and Try Hockey for Free! This free trial has been created specifically for children ages 4-9 years old who are interested in trying hockey for the first time.
While we encourage those who have access to a set of equipment to bring it, equipment is not necessary to participate. For those who don’t have equipment, we ask for you to bring the following: - Helmet
- A pair of gloves (they don’t need to be hockey gloves – mittens are fine)
- A parent (to complete the registration form)
- Skates (if possible – see the list below for rinks that can provide rentals)
- A Smile
