Chicago Showcase

2010 Showcase Moves to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania!

showFormerly called the Chicago Showcase and renamed this year to USA Hockey America’s High School Showcase will be conducted April 14-18, 2010 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It will be hosted by the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Hockey League (PIHL).

Twenty-four boys' teams from across the United States representing forty-three States will compete and showcase their talents to scouts from every major hockey institution in the country.

The purpose of this prestigious event remains the same. It is designed to allow high school hockey players from around the country, who do not traditionally get scouted due to geographic and budgetary constraints within the scouting circles, the opportunity to compete against the best of the best during a five day period and be seen by every major hockey institution in North America.

According to Jim Smith, past Chicago Showcase Director, “By allowing more areas to host this prestigious event, it promises to be second to none. I am quite confident the volunteers and organizing committee in Pittsburgh will not only maintain the high standards of this event, but will bring it to even greater heights. I am sure they will want to keep this event in Pittsburgh for many years to come”.

The Director of this year’s America’s High School Showcase is Kathy Santora. If you have any questions or comments, please contact Kathy at (412) 831-5111 or e-mail her at  kathy@santora.us.
