Team South Dakota Tier II 14-U making history at Nationals

The Team South Dakota 14 & Under boys could serve as the poster child for the benefits of newly formatted USA Hockey Tier II National Championships.

Mills comes full circle with return to nationals with Grand Rapids Griffins

Scott Mills has some unfinished business in youth hockey. In 1974, Mills finished second at the squirt level nationals and now he's back as coach of the Griffins of Grand Rapids, Mich., who won the USA Hockey Michigan District Tier II 14 & Under championship. The Griffins will play in the USA Hockey National Tournament April 7-11 in Wayne, N.J.

Huntsville Tier II 14-U charging to first-ever Nationals appearance

Like their namesake Chargers at the University of Alabama-Huntsville, the Huntsville Chargers Bantam A team has proven to be league champions this season. UAH advanced to the 2010 NCAA Men's Ice Hockey Tournament, and the Bantams are headed to the 2010 USA Hockey Tier II 14 & Under National Championships.

Success nothing new for Omaha Jr. Mavericks Tier II 14-U team

The Omaha Jr. Mavericks’ biggest obstacle in the USA Hockey Tier II 14 & Under National Championship may just be simply getting there. “Half of our team is stuck in Omaha right now,” coach Scott Turner said on Tuesday, one day before the tournament was scheduled to begin in Wayne, N.J.
