When members of Shattuck-St. Mary’s girls' hockey team donned their new “2005 National Champions” stocking caps just seconds after claiming USA Hockey's Girls' 19 & Under National Championship on Sunday, the move could have been thought of as presumptuous. In reality, though, the caps were more a sign of optimism.
