Most of the players on the Assabet Valley 12 & Under girls' hockey team have specific positions and lines on which they play. Caitlin Conlon, though, is considered Assabet’s utility player because, as her coaches say, “she’ll play wherever we need her.” Conlon was exactly where Assabet needed her on Sunday, scoring the game-winning goal with 2:36 to play in the third overtime, lifting Assabet to USA Hockey's 12 & Under National Championship with a 2-1 win against the Wisconsin Wild at the South Suburban Ice Arena.
