The Utah Storm and Varsity (Mich.) Graphics cleaned house in the preliminary games, so it was only fitting they should meet square for the Women’s Senior C National Championship on March 28. The big question was whether the scoreboard could handle all the action, but it turned out to be a low-scoring game by these teams’ standards, with Varsity skating to a relatively easy 5-1 victory and the title.
