The very first game the O’Leary Hawks (Mich.) played this weekend was a qualifying game against the Buffalo Saints, and it wasn’t pretty. The game featured 30 minutes in penalties and the Saints skated away with an 8-0 victory. The game was a harbinger of sorts for the Hawks. The Saints and Hawks faced off again, with considerably higher stakes, in the Women Senior B National Championship game Sunday and it was more of the same as Buffalo took home the national title with a 3-0 win over the Hawks.
