    WOMEN’S SELECT DEVELOPMENT CAMP
    July 7 - 14, 2011, Rochester, NY

    OBJECTIVES
    To instruct at the most advanced levels of competitive hockey. To provide the opportunity for high levels
    of individual and group instruction on college and international attitudes and techniques, including both on and office
    environments.

    CRITERIA FOR ATTENDANCE AT CAMP The applicant must:
    * Be a good hockey citizen who has contributed to a positive hockey environment at the local level.
    * Have previously attended a Regional Development Camp.
    * Be a USA Hockey Completely Registered (Level 3 or 4) Official.
    * Be an American citizen or a landed immigrant.
    * Be an excellent skater.
    * Possess the ability to work the highest level of hockey in her area extremely proficiently.
    * Have the desire to achieve International or College levels of officiating.
    * Have the desire to improve their personal skills in order to achieve the highest levels of officiating.
    * Have a positive attitude.
    * Be willing to take learned information back to her local area and assist others.

    APPLICATION
    Select Camp will be attended by invitation only.
    Applications must be submitted through District Referees-in-Chief ONLY!
    March 25, 2011 - DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS TO YOUR DISTRICT REFEREE-IN-CHIEF.
    Late applications, FAX copies or those not submitted through the District Referee-in-Chief will not be accepted.

    SELECTION PROCESS
    Applications will be reviewed and participants selected by mutual consent of the USA Hockey National
    Referee-in-Chief, Officiating Program Director, District Referees-in-Chief and Instructors. Participants will be
    selected on the basis of their hockey officiating ability, personal character, conduct, contribution to the hockey
    community, school record and ambitions. All selected participants will be required to complete a written paper on a
    hockey related topic prior to the start of the camp. This topic will be assigned upon selection to the camp.

    COSTS
    A $90 administrative fee, per participant, will be billed to each participant upon acceptance. This fee will
    be due in the office prior to final confirmation. The fee is non-refundable to all selected participants. All
    transportation to the camp site is to be supplied and paid for by the participant. USA Hockey will supply and pay
    for room, board and instructors fees.

    INSTRUCTORS
    Instructors will be selected from the top American officials who are currently working in the National
    Hockey League, American Hockey League, ECHL, NCAA Division I and IIHF World Championships. Other top
    instructors within the USA Hockey Officiating Education Program, including District Referees-in-Chief and Local
    Supervisors of Officials will also be considered.

    TYPICAL DAILY SCHEDULE
    Early Morning: 2 mile run - On-Ice Power skating (Stretching, Power skating, Skating Drills) - Breakfast
    Morning: Classroom - Lunch
    Afternoon: Classroom - On-Ice Training (Mechanics) - Dryland Training - Dinner
    Evening: Game Experience (USA Hockey 14+Under Player Development Camp)
    Night: Review of game films
