Since the 1992-93 season, when just over 10,000 girls or women registered with USA Hockey, the sport has enjoyed great growth spurts. In 2008-09, the number of registered female players crossed the 59,500 mark.

2010 USA Hockey Girls Prep Invitational

The 2010 USA Hockey Girls Prep Invitational wrapped up with NAHA defeating Cushing 2-0. This was the first year for the event, which USA Hockey intends to grow into a Girls Prep School National Championship next year with at least eight teams.

WAHA Development 300Crow River girls' program making strides in Minnesota

The Crow River Youth Hockey Association is formulating plans to enter into a full girls’ co-op program for games and practices with Buffalo (in District 5), which is a neighboring community.
