Serving The American Rinks (STAR) is a membership association that provides education, training, and new resources to rink members, professionals and vendors in the rink and arena industry. Created as a joint venture between USA Hockey and U.S. Figure Skating in 2000, thousands of facilities, individuals and vendors have benefited from a membership in STAR. 

By becoming a STAR member you will be able to access information and training to improve and advance your facility. STAR members receive the weekly STAR Network email, 4 industry publications, including RINK Magazine, the official publication of STAR, publications and programs from USA Hockey and US Figure Skating, and discounts on STAR training programs and events.

Through an alliance with the Ontario Recreation Facilities Association, (O.R.F.A.), STAR provides training that helps to increase the operational efficiency of rinks and improve safety procedures at member facilities. Over 4,000 industry professionals have attended STAR training programs at more than 60 different locations throughout the country. Member facilities also have the opportunity to co-host our regional training programs.

STAR members also receive a discounted registration rate for the North American Rink Conference & Expo (NARCE), which will be held in Chicago each May.  We will be offering all of our educational programs at NARCE 2010, and look forward to another outstanding training experience and trade show.

The cost to become a STAR member and access all of these benefits is $225 annually, while individuals can join STAR for just $50, and vedors may become members of STAR for $350 annually. We hope that you take advantage of a STAR membership, and enjoy the benefits of membership in "the premier national organization designed to foster the development, growth and success of ice skating rinks and in-line facilities in the United States."
