| SEMINAR INSTRUCTOR TRAINING WESTERN SEMINAR INSTRUCTOR STAFF TRAINING SESSION Colorado Springs, CO --- April 21 - 24, 2011
OBJECTIVES
To instruct USA Hockey Seminar Instructors on the proper mechanics of teaching officiating seminars. To develop a uniform teaching "strategy". To enhance the involvement of the more experienced officials as teachers. To broaden the base of interested instructors throughout the country. APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS: All participants must: * Be a designated Seminar Staff Instructor, by the District Referee-in-Chief * Participate in the conducting of USA Hockey Officials Seminars in his/her District following the Training Session. All participants should: * Be a respected official/administrator/instructor in his/her district. * Be actively involved in the district program. * Have the desire to assist in the training and development of other officials. APPLICATION Seminar Instructor Staff Training Sessions will be attended by invitation only. Applications will be distributed BY THE LOCAL U.S.A. HOCKEY SUPERVISOR OF OFFICIALS ONLY! COSTS All transportation to and from the site is to be supplied and paid for by the participants, unless funds to reimburse a portion of these expenses are available from local resources. The United States Olympic Committee and USA Hockey will supply and pay for room, board and instructors fees. There is no fee for participation
