Team Registration
All teams, excluding youth house and adult house, must register with USA Hockey and are required a Team Roster. Certification dates for Team Rosters will be based on the postmark date, regardless of the date that appears on the Team Roster. If a postmark is not legible, the certification date will be the date received by the Associate Registrar. Teams may not begin counting games toward 20/10 or 14/10 until after the certification date signed by the Associate Registrar. Associations MAY NOT write in player or coach additions on the Team Roster. Supplemental rosters must be submitted for player changes made after the original Team Roster is printed. Tournament bound team rosters must be final by December 31. Roster changes are not allowed after that date. A team, excluding youth house and adult house, may not participate in any pre-season, exhibition, league or tournament games until a USA Hockey Team Roster has been properly completed and submitted to the Associate Registrar and all participants are individually registered with USA Hockey. All Tier I, Tier II or Rec Travel teams that play outside their registering association are required to have a participant signed roster in order to receive certification. Only coaches listed on the team roster will be allowed in the vicinity of the player’s bench during games. All rosters that require participant signatures must be submitted with the original signatures of the players/coaches on the roster. A Tier I, Tier II, or Rec Travel player shall not participate in a game with a team until that player signs a roster. No SAHOF Tier I, Tier II or Rec Travel team shall use any player not properly rostered to its team. Participation of a player in a sanctioned game not rostered to the team will be deemed an “Improper Roster” and the game will automatically be forfeited.
