• REGIONAL CAMP

    Sault Ste. Marie, MI --- June 17-24, 2011

     

    OBJECTIVE
    To instruct, in depth, the basic skills necessary to advance to higher levels of officiating. To identify those young developing officials who have the necessary skills, abilities and desires to achieve these levels.

     

    APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:

         * Actively officiate in the district from which he has applied.

         * Be a USA Hockey completely registered Official (Level 2, 3 or 4).

         * Be an American citizen or a landed immigrant.

         * Between 18 and 26 years of age (Recommended).

         * Be an excellent skater.

         * Be proficient at working the highest level of hockey according to his age.

         * Have the desire to achieve higher levels of officiating.

         * Be mature enough to be able to learn advanced basic techniques of officiating and put them into proper perspective relative    to amateur hockey games
         * Be willing to take learned information back to his local area and assist others with this information

    SELECTION PROCESS
    Participants will be selected
    on the basis of their hockey officiating ability, personal character, conduct, contribution to the hockey community, school record and ambitions.

    COSTS
    A $90 administrative fee, per participant, will be billed to each participant upon acceptance. This fee will be due in the office prior to final confirmation. The fee is non-refundable to all selected participants. All transportation to the camp site is to be supplied and paid for by the participant. USA Hockey will supply and pay for room, board and instructors fees.

    ** Late applications, FAX copies or applications not submitted through the District Referee-in-Chief will not be accepted by the National Office.
