Gigi Marvin (Warroad, Minn.) and Jenny Potter (Edina, Minn.) were the goal-scorers for the United States.

Rivalry always hot between U.S. and Canada When the U.S. Women’s National Team faces Canada Friday night in Spokane, Wash., in the third game of the Qwest Tour, it will mark the first of three tour meetings between the rivals and the fourth of potentially ten pre-Olympic matches. U.S. goaltender Jessie Vetter said the rivalry has no danger of growing stale or muted given so many games before the big show in February.

NHL Network Set to Broadcast U.S.-Canada Women's Hockey Game Friday The NHL Network (U.S.) will broadcast live the U.S. Women's National Team's Qwest Tour game against Canada Friday (Oct. 16) at the Spokane Arena in Spokane, Wash. Set for a 7:05 p.m. PT faceoff, the game marks the first of four Qwest Tour matchups to air on the network.
