Youth Systems

                                                        Monday’s 7:30pm for Mites /Squirts

80 minute classes.

The Youth Systems is a program that covers all three zones, both offensively and defensively, introducing the players to team systems and tactics.  Full ice drills will consist of attacking and defending 1 on 1's, 3 on 2's, shielding and  back checking techniques, forming the attack triangle, cycling, plus many more concepts.

Fee $95.  Class size is limited.  Team discounts.  Designed for the competitive player.

Registrations will be accepted thru the rink cashier beginning 2/11/08.  Classes begin the week of March 17.

HOCKEY X’S TWO

                                                     PARENT & CHILD HOCKEY CLINIC

BEGINS MARCH 19, 2008

WEDNESDAY’S 7-8:20PM        $170 PER PAIR.

The Mt. Lebanon Ice Center invites you and your child to learn the fastest game on earth TOGETHER!  All drills will be design for both parent and child to work jointly throughout the program.  What a great way to discover the game AND spend quality time!   Full equipment is required for any one 18 years and younger.  Adults must have shin pads, ice hockey gloves, ice hockey helmet, ice hockey elbow pads and hockey skates.

Registrations will be accepted thru the rink cashier beginning 2/11/08. 

POWER SKATING

Using innovated teaching techniques, resistance training, experienced coaching staff, and our low instructor to player ratio gives you the optimum opportunity to enhance your stride power, balance and transition.            

REGISTRATION BEGINS 02/11/08 WITH THE RINK CASHIER.

The fee is $95.00.  8-weeks; intense 50-minute classes.

Classes begin the week of 03/17/08.

Team registrations will be accepted at a discount rate.

This is not a learn to skate class.  Class size is limited twenty.

Weekly Goalie Clinic

8-weeks $95 Begins Thursday 3/20/08 7:40-8:30pm

The clinic will feature lots of “shots” and focus on development of the fundamental building blocks

of good goaltending play (e.g. the concepts of ready, react, recover)

with an emphasis on skating, save selection and proper positioning.

SPRING SMALL AREA

3-3 LEAGUE

Get the full benefits of the 3 on 3 game using a small area to play.  No more cherry picking, over handling the puck, or pacing your shifts.  The small area of the Studio Rink will promote quickness in passing, skating, shooting and stick handling. All the players will be involved in the play continuously.  The league features a 10 game season in the spring, including playoffs.  Games will be played on weekends featuring 2, 25-minute running time periods.  Only team registrations will be accepted.   The fee is $590 per team.  League begins late March, early April.  Mites/Squirts/Pee Wees. 

SPRING/SUMMER HIGH SCHOOL LEAGUE

$750 per team; $400 Official’s fee
