• Scoreclock Simulator

Check out this really cool link from the Perinton Youth Hockey! It is a clock simulator that is very similar to the scoreclocks used at our rinks.  By following the instructions on the page and using the simulator you can get some hands on experience and it should make the transition to our clocks a little easier.  I am posting this link with permission from their webmaster.  Thanks Perinton!

Thanks to Dennis O'Flynn to putting together this information. Please print or link to this page.

The score and clock used for PCHA hockey games is operated by volunteers.  These volunteers are responsible for running the game clock, posting scores and penalties.  The following instructions are a guide to operating the score clock control unit.  The control unit used at most arenas (PCC, Pond, Yost) have very similar operations.

    Suggestion

    Practice! Practice! Practice!

Take some time to practice operating the score clock.  A good time to do this is during a team's practice.  It is best to familiarize yourself with the operations of the score clock before doing it in a game situation.
