Scott Sandelin, head coach of the 2011 NCAA men's champion Minnesota-Duluth, Tom Ward and Joe Exter will serve as assistant coaches for the 2012 U.S. National Junior Team. The trio will join head coach Dean Blais behind the bench in leading Team USA at the 2012 IIHF World Junior Championship.  |
Dean Blais (International Falls, Minn.), was today named the head coach of the 2012 U.S. National Junior Team. The appointment marks Blais' third stint as head coach of a U.S. National Junior Team, having led Team USA to the gold medal at the 2010 International Ice Hockey World Junior Championship and also guiding the squad in 1994.

USA Hockey today announced that Mark Bahr will serve as video coordinator for the U.S. National Junior Team that will compete at the 2012 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship from Dec. 26-Jan. 5 in Edmonton and Calgary, Alta.
