Barons ready to get things started

His team has been the most impressive thus far through the pool portion of the 18-and-under Tier I division at the USA Hockey National Tournament presented by Easton and McDonald’s, but coach Mark Fritsche knows that won’t mean anything should the Cleveland Barons lose from here on out in Pittsburgh.

LA Jr. Kings ready to take shot at national title

The L.A. Jr. Kings took a long and winding route to become 2009 USA Hockey Pacific District Tournament 18-Under Tier I champions. Their 5-2 victory over the Anchorage North Stars in the championship game at the Las Vegas Ice Center in March secured their title and made them a team to look out for at the upcoming USA Hockey National Tournament presented by Easton and McDonald’s in Pittsburgh from April 1-5.
