4 Ounce Blue Puck Info

Due to a recent revision by USA Hockey (on 09/04/2003) to the official playing rules of Ice Hockey, a blue 4 ounce puck is now required for use during all games and practices for teams comprised entirely of Boy/Girl players 8 years of age and younger. It is strongly recommended that the blue puck be used for all games and practices for teams of Boy/Girl players 10 years of age and younger.

2006-07 Unregistered WHOA/USA Hockey Officials

USA Hockey and WAHA requires all persons officiating USA Hockey games in Wisconsin to be registered with both WHOA and USA Hockey. Allowing unregistered officials to officiate USA Hockey games is a USA Hockey and WAHA rules violation and jeopardizes the USA Hockey insurance for teams, players and coaches. WAHA Summer Hockey Sanction Policy Change

At their May 18, 2007 meeting WAHA approved a change that effects summer only programs. WAHA will no longer sanction summer only programs that are above the Bantam level. 2007 WHOA/USA Hockey Officiating Seminar Schedule

The 2007 USA Hockey/WHOA Seminar schedule was released on May 19, 2007.Click here to view the complete list of dates and locations. Seminar registration begins online here August 1st. WAHA requires that officials attend a seminar conducted by the WHOA. All returning officials who are 18 years of age or older as of July 31, 2007 must be screened before enrolling in a Seminar.
