The Team Carolina concept began in the developing stages in 1999. After nearly 18 months of planning, the program was founded in 2001 by Mike Mulhall, Ralph Westphal, and Ken Rosenbaum to address the needs of the higher caliber players in North Carolina and South Carolina. We are very proud of the growth and reputation of our program. Our scope is that we want to expose our players to the higher level of play that will be required especially if they continue their sights beyond youth hockey. Team Carolina can help address those needs. We have had over our first six seasons players from not only North Carolina and South Carolina, but also Georgia, Virginia, and Florida. To date we have over 50 Alumni members that have gone on to College Preparatory schools, Junior A, Junior B, Junior C, NCAA D-III, and NCAA D-I. We are excited about the changes coming for our seventh year.

In 2007-2008, Team Carolina is proud to announce that it will field a Junior B team in the Premiere Division of the Continental Hockey Association. Our Junior B program is managed by Mr. Doug White, who successfully launched the Junior C program three years ago.

Team Carolina's Junior C program has been in existence for three seasons, and kicks off season number four as a CHA Development team which is national bound eligible at the Junior C level. This will give our 15-17 year old players more elevated exposure.

Team Carolina takes great pride in the Coaches that they are able to secure each year. This is another enormous difference in the Team Carolina program not only is the play at a higher competitive level the coaching quality is on another level. The Team Carolina coaches are selected very carefully each year to insure the quality of the program is not sacrificed. Our coaches have a fantastic work ethic and also a vast network of resources.

Team Carolina Hockey Association, Inc. is a private non profit corporation managed by Mike Mulhall and Ralph Westphal. The Head Coaching Staff serves as a valuable advisory body and their input into the program is essential as we try to improve the quality of the Team Carolina program each year. The founders and the coaches have a vast amount of experience in player advancement opportunities. Team Carolina has affiliations with many college preparatory institutions as well as great many Junior A organizations, not failing to mention our own Junior B program.
