New Policy

Attention - All Coaches in the PVAHA!

Southeastern District Coaching Education Requirements:

Coaches that have NOT been certified at the required level on January 1, 2004 will not be allowed to coach or attend practice until they receive the necessary certification or a temporary card.

(Required Level and Temporary card form is on www.sedistrict.org under coaches section. Levels - Form)

Effective January 1, 2004 if a coach is not certified at the required level the referee will indicate it on the sore sheet and the game will be played.

Under no circumstances will a game protest be allowed due to an improper certified coach

This penalty will be the responsibility of the Association President.

Coaching Certification was mandated in 1999 2000.

Association Ace Administrators are to keep a data base of

ALL the Associations coaches but do not have to police the requirements.

The Association Ace Administrator was mandated at the

USA Hockey Annual Meeting in 2003 and the Southeast District mandated it for September 1, 2003.

Affiliate Tuition Grants - National Coaching Symposium

Affiliate Tuition Grants of $395 were granted to the following coaches to attend the National Coaching Symposium from July 12-16, 2006 in Rochester, NY.

Standards of Enforcement 2006/2007

USA Hockey has announced Standards of Enforcement that will be used by referees during the 2006/07 season to reduce restraining infractions. Hooking, Tripping, Holding, Interference and Slashing are to be called with strict enforcement. Standards of Enforcement
