2006-07 USA Hockey Coaching Clinic Information

THE FOLLOWING CONTAINS EXPIRED LINKS.  NEW PROCESSES ARE IN PLACE FOR CLINIC SIGN-UPS AND REQUIREMENTS.

Area clinics for Level's 1 - 3 are now available.  For new coaches needing 2 clinics, when registering on-line - register for a Level 1 clinic first, then register for a Level 2 clinic.  Coaches can register for any area coaching clinics, i.e. a Flint area coach can take a clinic in Port Huron, Saginaw, Lansing, Detroit, etc.

For any out-of -district clinics or for any problems registering on-line for any clinics, please feel free to contact Kevin at
 kvbrackett0159@aol.com for assistance in registering.

Be thinking about attending the clinics you need and register ASAP, because all clinics have a limit on the number of attendees allowed. Once full, you might have to attend a clinic that's far away. Clinic waivers are going to be hard to get, especially with the number of clinics being offered. Sign up early to attend a clinic that's most convenient for you. No other Flint clinics will be offered this season.

* Don't forget to bring your coach's card to the clinic if you already have one, your skates, gloves, helmet, and your on-line registration receipt.

flexxCOACH University- (Level 3 on-line recertification):
To keep your coaching card valid, every 3 years coaches must take a next level coaching clinic until reaching level 3. After reaching level 3, coaches have renewal options: attend another level 3 clinic, attend a workshop, attend a level 4 clinic, or recertify on-line by using flexxCOACH. If you have dial-up internet service, flexxCOACH will send you the CDs necessary to complete the clinic in a timely manner. When you complete the clinic, print out the completion certificate and keep it with you for all hockey activities until you receive the renewal stamp that goes on the back of your coach's card. If you want to use flexxCOACH, click on the following and read all the instructions carefully. To enter flexxCOACHUniversity,  click here.

Any team manager that also plans to be on the ice during practices and / or on the bench during games must have the proper coaching credentials for that age group (team) he or she's with and must also be rostered as a manager/coach or vice-versa. If the team manager is just being used as a team organizer then no coaching credentials are required and he or she will be rostered as just a manager.

A photo-copy of your coach's card, front and back, must be given to Kevin or I on or before Dec. 31st, 2006. A book containing the copies will be submitted to district 5 reps for play-offs.

NOTE: Any parent or adult who is used with any team during practices must have the proper coaching credentials and must be USA Hockey registered. They must also submit to a background check and be given approval of such before they will be allowed to be used with the team. This is for liability purposes. Non-rostered personnal will not be allowed to be used on the bench during any games.

Please feel free to contact me or Kevin with any questions regarding coaching information or any questions in general. Me (Mick) at mickcam@aol.com. Kevin at kvbrackett0159@aol.com.

Please note:  Be early to the clinics. They start right on time and they'll close the doors and not allow you to enter if you're late. You'll then have to sign up for another clinic. If you have any questions about on-line registrations or anything else, please feel free to contact me at mickcam@aol.com and I'll try to answer or find out for you, any information that you need.
