2009-2010 Season Registration

Officials are strongly encouraged to register electronically at www.usahockey.com as soon as possible for the 2009-2010 season.

IAHA Screened Personnel

Below is the current lists of all screened and approved coaches, on ice officials, and other adult IAHA members that have been approved for the 2009-2010 season. If your name appears on either of these lists, you are approved foir the 2009-2010 season and do NOT have to be screened again.

Note:  The year opposite your name indicates the last season for which your current screening is effective according to the following key:

2006 means your approval is good through the 2009-2010 season
2007 means your approval is good through the 2010-2011 season
2008 means your approval is good through the 2011-2012 season

Note: This list will not be updated this season. After the expiration of your approval season, you will have to reapply for screening prior to December 31 of the season indicated above.

Apply for Screening

Coaches, on-ice officials and other adult IAHA members that DO NOT appear on the list above, need to apply for approval to participate during the 2009-2010 season by following the steps below:. 

1.     Log on to https://iaha.volunteerportal.net 

2.     Enter the password on the Welcome Page: IAHA2009

3.     Enter Personal Information  (All fields marked with a “*” are required)

4.     Click Next and review all information to ensure its accuracy before proceeding.

a.     If you Quit without clicking Save, the system will not save your information. Your background check will not be run. You will need to start over from the beginning when you return.

b.     If you click Save before you Quit, you will be provided with a reference code to enter when you return to the site to pick up where you left off.

i.     When returning to the site, click on this link on the Welcome Page: “If you are returning to finish a previous search, then click here.”

ii.     enter your last name and reference number to resume your previous search.

5.     Click Complete

REPORTING PENALTIES:

All match penalties must be reported to the Idaho State Supervisor of Officials as soon as possible. Should a match penalty occur, contact Bobby Noyes at 726-8557(H), 720-1257 (cell), 726-2422(fax). You may also be required to report match penalties and lower infractions to local authorities. Check wih your local supervisor of officials for further guideance.

Match Penalty Incident Report

Officials must report all Match Penalties the Idaho State Supervisor of Officials within 24 hours of the incident using the form below.  A report to the local governing body may also be required. In the event of a match penalty, complete the form below and e-mail to:

Form Instructions:

1.  This form is to be used by IAHA officials to document all game-related incidents that result in the assessment of MATCH PENALTIES to one or more players during the same stoppage of play.

 2.  Use a separate form to record all penalties assessed during a single stoppage in play.  These include all penalties that lead up to or otherwise relate to the MATCH penalty(s).  Use a separate form for each separate incident (stoppage of play).

 3.  The Referee (in the one referee-two linesmen system) or the Senior Referee (in the two-referee system) is responsible for completing all game reports.

 4.  Completed game reports must be received by the IAHA Supervisor Of Officials, Bobby Noyes, via email at bnoisey@aol.com within 24 hours of the incident.

 

 

Officials and IAHA Tournaments

Excerpts from the IAHA Policies and Procedures Manual:

Regarding Tier Playoffs: 

Each game in the Association Championships shall use a three-person on-ice officiating system. The IAHAs Supervisor of Referees or his/her designee shall assign all Officials to A and B Division Association Championships games. Unless expressly authorized by the IAHAs Supervisor of Referees, to be eligible to officiate in the A and B Division Association Championships, an Official must be certified by USA Hockey at the level required for the age classification for which he/she officiates.

An Official shall not officiate a game, either as Referee or Linesman, in which a relative (blood or legal) participates as a player or coach. In addition, a Referee shall not officiate any game in an age group in which he/she has a relative (blood or legal) participating as a player or coach. A Referee shall not officiate any game in which a team from his/her community is playing.

Regarding High School Playoffs:

Each game in the State High School Championships shall use a three-person on-ice officiating system. The IAHAs Supervisor of Referees or his/her designee shall assign all Officials to State High School Championships games. Unless expressly authorized by the IAHAs Supervisor of Referees, to be eligible to officiate in the State High School Championships an Official must be certified as a USA Hockey Level 3 or Level 4 official. In addition, a Referee shall not officiate any game in an age group in which he/she has a relative (blood or legal) participating as a player or coach. A Referee shall not officiate any game in which a team from his/her community is playing.
