Formation at Kickline 2007The Franklin Park Ice Arena offers a variety of competitions throughout the season for all of your skating needs. In January our Special Needs Competition is open to all abilities and has something for a variety of ice sports. The Kickline Synchronized Skating Competition takes place at the end of January and target teams from all over. We round out the season with the Spring Fever ISI Skating Competition in April. This popular event has something for everyone from tots to adults. See below for more details on the many competitions hosted by the Franklin Park Ice Arena.

The Park District of Franklin Park is proud to sponsor this 18th annual meet for figure skaters, speed skaters, hockey players and sled hockey players with special needs. This unique event highlights these inspired athletes from across the Midwest. Come cheer them on! Spectator admission is free.

This year Northwest Designs will be selling commemorative t-shirts with the above logo for the event. The shirts will also have all of the names of the participants on the back. Don't miss out!

KICKLine Synchronized Team Competition

Synchronized skating-SPEED-vibrant costumes exciting music-thats what the KICKLine Synchronized Competition is all about. Teams from all over the Chicago area compete in several categories of skill and difficulty. Our annual Kickline Competition is slated this year for Sunday, January 24. Skating teams consist of as many as 32 individuals who perform intricate, synchronized skating maneuvers. 

 

It is an exciting sport of grace, beauty, speed, and artistry. Stop by the ice arena to see this exciting sport. Admission is FREE!

Spring Fever ISI Competition 

 

April 24-25, 2010  

Competitive skaters from the Chicago area will come together in Franklin Park for an exciting weekend of competition. After training all year, skaters ages 3 to adult compete in a variety of events including solo, compulsory, spotlight and music interpretation. A panel of judges award top honors to the most athletic, artistic and talented figure skaters. This is your chance to see future skating stars from Franklin Park and across the state. Spring Fever has something for everyone. Admission is free!
