Gene's Goalie Tips

1. Unless you are under 4 feet tall, do not stand up when skating back toward the net - the cross bar is a shock.

2. Stay in shape. Alternate arms when lifting 12 oz. weights.

3. Build up leg strength and stamina. When you need to go, use the neighbors or another bar down the street.

4. Duck tape your jock to your waist. To often you find yourself faked out of it.

5. Pick up pop cans from behind the lazyboy while sitting. It makes it easier to retrieve pucks that get behind you.

6. Have fun. Get to the rink early and Saran Wrap the front of net - a good confidence builder.

7. Need an excuse? "Where's my defense?" (Best to say out of ear shot of defense.)
