The American Amputee Hockey Team Training Camp is October 9-12 at the Ice Cube in Ann Arbor, MI.

The American Amputee Hockey team, along with national teams from several other countries, are attempting to make Stand-up (Regular) hockey an official Paralymic sport. The team will be introduced during the NTDP game being played October 11.

The amputee hockey movement in the United States and Canada received a huge boost when several items from the first international game were placed in the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto. The first-ever meeting between the two amputee teams was played on Jan. 27, 2001 in Saranac Lake, N.Y.

The U.S. and Canadian National Amputee Hockey Teams played an exhibition game on Saturday, March 16 during the Winter Paralympic Games in Salt Lake City, Utah. The two teams faced off on the last day of Paralympic sledge hockey competition at the Steiner Ice Center, adjacent to the University of Utah campus.
