2009 IIHF Inline Hockey World Championships

2009 IIHF World ChampionshipsThe 2009 IIHF Inline Hockey World Championships is being held in Ingolstadt, Germany at the Saturn Arena on June 6-14, 2009.  With a fourth place finish at the 2008 IIHF Inline Hockey World Championships, the US is in a tough pool with Sweden, Czech Republic and Canada.  With that in mind the coaching staff of this year's team put together a top notch team with chemistry, determination and heart.

U.S. National InLine Team Claims Silver at 2009 IIHF InLine Worlds

Troy Redmann stopped 40 shots, but the U.S. National InLine Team came up just short, falling to Sweden, 7-6, here tonight in the gold-medal game at the 2009 International Ice Hockey Federation InLine Hockey World Championship. Team USA played in the gold-medal game for the eighth time in the tournament's 14-year history and claimed a medal for the first time since 2006.

U.S. Nat'l InLine Team Tops Finland, 8-4; Will Play Sweden for Gold 

James Beilsten (St. Charles, Mo.) notched one goal and added three assists to lead the U.S. National InLine Team past Finland, 8-4, here tonight in the semifinal round at the 2009 International Ice Hockey Federation InLine Hockey World Championship. Team USA will face Sweden tomorrow at 6 p.m. (noon ET) in the gold-medal game. 

U.S. National InLine Team Tops Slovakia, 6-2,  at 2009 IIHF InLine Worlds

James Beilsten (St. Charles, Mo.) tallied two goals and two assists to lead the U.S. National InLine Team to a 6-2 victory over Slovakia today in the playoff round at the 2009 International Ice Hockey Federation InLine Hockey World Championship. With the win, Team USA advances to the semifinal round and will face Finland in semifinal play tomorrow.

U.S. InLine National Team Falls to Sweden, 7-6, in Shootout at 2009 IIHF InLine Worlds

James Beilsten (St. Charles, Mo.) scored with :12 left in regulation to force overtime, but the U.S. National InLine Team fell to Sweden, 7-6, in a shootout here tonight in its third game at the 2009 International Ice Hockey Federation InLine Hockey World Championship. Despite the loss, Team USA secured the No. 1 seed in its pool and advanced to the playoff round, where it will face the winner of Great Britain/Slovenia on Thursday (June 11).

U.S. InLine National Team Tops Canada, 7-4, at 2009 IIHF InLine Worlds

James Beilsten (St. Charles, Mo.) scored two goals and added two assists to lead the U.S. InLine National Team to a 7-4 victory over Canada here this afternoon in its second game at the 2009 International Ice Hockey Federation InLine Hockey World Championship.

U.S. InLine National Team Tops Czech Republic, 6-5, in Shootout

Behind a pair of goals apiece from Lee Sweatt (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and CJ Yoder (Hershey, Pa.), the U.S. InLine National Team opened the 2009 International Ice Hockey Federation InLine Hockey World Championship with a thrilling 6-5 shootout victory over the Czech Republic here this afternoon at the Saturn Arena.
