Officiating Clinics

One of the most effective methods of educating officials is through clinics staffed by instructors trained by USA Hockey InLine. These clinics range from 4-6 hours in length and include both classroom sessions as well as on-surface sessions.  As part of the regsitration process, referees are required to have seminar credit.  Attending a seminar gives a referee credit for the length of a rulebook.  If you attend a seminar the first year of the rulebook, you do not need to attend the next year, but you still have to register and pass the exam for that year.  If you attend a seminar the second year of the rulebook, you will need to attend another seminar the next year as a new rulebook will be available.

USA Hockey InLine conducts most semainrs during the fall  (September through December).  USA Hockey InLine aggressively seeks to place clincs in all areas of the country with the end reslut being "nation wide coverage." If you or your USA Hockey InLine Sanctioned League are interested in hosting a clinic, please let us know.  If there is no inline seminar in your area or you are unable to make the inline specific seminar, you may also attend any ice hockey semianr to receive credit for inline.
