High School Inline Hockey

The sport of inline hockey is growing quickly throughout the United States as more and more high schools, middle schools and even grade schools are adding it to their list of extra curricular activities. In some places it is a club sport while in others, it has become a full varsity lettered sport. USA Hockey InLine is proud of its contribution towards the development of inline hockey in the school systems across the country. At the present time USA Hockey InLine has sanctioned numerous high school programs with more joining every day. California has the most advanced high school inline hockey program and was the first to make it a lettered sport. But other areas in the country are following close behind. Texas, Florida, Georgia, Colorado, Missouri, Ohio, and New York all have very strong programs in place.

Scholarship Winners Announced

USA Hockey InLine announced that Caitlin Guard (El Paso, Texas) and Kyle Stovall (Littleton, Colo.) have each been selected to receive a $500 college scholarship from USA Hockey InLine’s 2007-2008 College Scholarship Program.

USA Hockey InLine High School Video

In an effort to further develope inline High School hockey, USA Hockey InLine has produced a promtional video. This 10-minute video is designed to explain the benefits of starting high school club teams and leagues. Features include footage of high school games, interviews with players, parents, league administrators and USA Hockey InLine. The intent of the video is to assist interested parties in creating a team and convincing school administrators to allow the creation of a team by demonstrating the value of high school club inline hockey. The video is being offered free of charge to all USA Hockey InLine sanctioned leagues. This video is available in VHS or DVD format.
