The U.S. Olympic Men's Ice Hockey Team was announced on New Year's Day and Jamie Langenbrunner was named captain of the team shortly after. The 23-man roster will represent the United States at the XXI Olympic Winter Games Feb. 16-28 in Vancouver, B.C.

Martin withdraws from U.S. Men's Olympic Team

Paul Martin today officially withdrew from participating for Team USA in the 2010 Olympic Winter Games due to injury. A replacement for Martin is expected to be named later this week.

Langenbrunner Named Captain of 2010 U.S. Olympic Men's Ice Hockey Team

Jamie Langenbrunner has been named captain of the 2010 U.S. Olympic Men's Ice Hockey Team, it was announced today by USA Hockey. Langenbrunner, who is in his third season as captain of the National Hockey League's New Jersey Devils, will serve as a Team USA captain for the first time. Dustin Brown, Zach Parise, Brian Rafalski and Ryan Suter will serve as alternate captains.

Paul Stastny was born in Canada. His father was an Olympian for Czechoslovakia and Slovakia. As far as Paul is concerned, however, he’s an American, and he can’t wait to represent the United States at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games.
