January 6, 2009 COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of Wisconsin retained the No. 1 ranking on this week's USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Women’s College Hockey Poll. For the tenth straight week, the Badgers were unanimously selected No. 1 with all 19 first-place votes, good for 190 points. The University of Minnesota (171) remained No. 2 following wins against Niagara University this past weekend, while the University of Minnesota Duluth (145) climbed one spot to No. 3. Meanwhile, Mercyhurst College (125) and St. Lawrence University (113) each jumped one spot to round out the top five. This week's action features four top-10 match-ups, including a Western Collegiate Hockey Association series between No. 1 University of Wisconsin and No. 3 University of Minnesota Duluth.
