USA HOCKEY OFFICIATING PROGRAM EDUCATION MATERIALS

Initial video produced with the launch of USA Hockey’s Standard of Play Initiative. Provides examples and explanations of both legal and illegal actions that fall under the Standard of Play Initiative.

USA Hockey Off-Ice Official’s Manual

 

Provides guidelines and responsibilities for off-ice officials.  Includes instructions on how to properly complete a scoresheet, goal judge or serve as a timekeeper or penalty timekeeper.  Also includes basic rules of the game.  A must for every off-ice official or volunteer parent involved with game administration.

Local Official’s Association / Affiliate Handbook

 

A must for every local official’s association administrator.  Outlines process for developing a local officiating program and guidelines as to formation of a formal association.  Also gives helpful tips in working with local hockey groups and affiliate organizations.
